GSAF has supported ALA California Girls State since its inception in 2006. Over the years we have aided the program in a variety of ways, including:
- Providing $4000 per year in grants to local Units of the American Legion Auxiliary to enable them to sponsor delegates.
- Providing over $5000 per year to ALA California Girls State to enhance the program, including professional signage, pop-up tents, lanyards, honor buttons, subsidizing staff polo shirts, and more.
- Offering $4000 yearly in college and graduate level scholarships.
- Offering two paid summer internships ($2400 per intern for a 160 hour internship).
- Offering networking and professional development opportunities.
