- Girls State changed my life in 2004. It was a magical place where I could truly be myself, found my voice, learned about government, met girls from different backgrounds all across California, and left knowing I could lead and change the world! I’m raising $500 for the Girls State Alumnae Foundation to support a girl to go in 2023 - who will be the first to donate?!
- Who run the world? Girls! Support a program that helps girls realize their potential to run the world and make it a better place - through true sisterhood and respectful dialogue.
- I’m already 30% towards my fundraising goal for Girls State! Thank you to Julie, Dora, Omar and Jamal for donating to a program that empowers our young women to become leaders and shakers. Who can help me get to 50%?!
- [share photo] See that dork in the back? 1995, high school before senior year. A program called Girls State challenged me to think critically about what I care about and what I can do to create change. To build true sisterhood with girls different from myself. Help me raise $1000 to support this amazing program for girls next year and beyond!

Create a Facebook Event
- Facebook events are great because everyone you invite will get notifications, in case they don’t browse Facebook often and might miss your status updates
- Set date of event for last day of fundraiser
- Event description - why you are doing it (insert fundraising letter)
- As people you know donate, you can give them a ‘shout out’ in the event to help entice others to donate and support.
